Ingredients

  • 250 g minced meat
  • 300 g white cabbae
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 150 g cream cheese
  • salt
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Ground caraway
  • Garlic
  • Herbs, fresh
  • 1 handful Gouda cheese, grated
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 6 slices bread

Instructions

  1. Peel the onion and cut into cubes. Then cut the cabbage into strips or cubes.
  2. Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the minced meat in it until crumbly. Then put the onion in the pan and fry briefly. Next, put the cut white cabbage in the pan and fry. Then put a lid on the pan. Turn the stove down and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally so that it doesn`t burn. Put everything in a bowl and let cool down.
  3. When the mixture has cooled down, add the cream cheese, egg yolk and cheese and season with the spices. If you like, you can also season with herbs or garlic. In the meantime, preheat the oven to 200 degrees. Then brush the bread with the mixture and bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
  4. The mass is enough for 6-8 slices of bread.
