Scrambled Eggs in Bread with Ham and Cheese (in the Oven)

Scrambled eggs or hot sandwich? Why choose when you can combine crispy bread, fried eggs, ham, cheese and make breakfast or a snack in minutes. Hearty and tasty scrambled eggs in bread with ham and cheese, in the oven – simple, effective and tasty! Try it!

Servings: 2

Ingredients

  • White toast bread – 4 slices (100 g)
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Ham – 50 g
  • Hard cheese – 15-30 g (to taste)
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

    For the filling (optional):

  • Lettuce leaves – 2-4 pcs.

Directions

  1. Cut out the middle of two bread slices, stepping back about 1 centimeter from the crusts so that you get “frames” of bread. Grate the cheese. Cut one of the ham slices into 4-6 small pieces.
  2. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Place the remaining 2 slices of toast on a baking sheet. Place a slice of ham on each slice of bread.
  3. Sprinkle the grated cheese on the bread.
  4. On each bread slice, sprinkled with cheese, place a bread frame (a slice of toast bread with the crumb cut out). Gently press down on the edges of the bread so that the slices are snug against each other.
  5. Break an egg into each hole in the bread.
  6. Carefully, trying not to damage the integrity of the yolk, put 2-3 pieces of the remaining ham in the center of the sandwiches. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Place the sandwiches in an oven preheated to 180 degrees and bake for about 10-15 minutes until the protein is ready and the yolk is desired.
