Ingredients

  • 500 g beans, lare fresh, white ones
  • 300 g onion (s)
  • 300 g nettles
  • 2 tablespoon paprika powder
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon, leveled pepper
  • 2 tablespoon oil, (sunflower oil)

Instructions

  1. Boil the beans in two liters of water, discard the first after 30 minutes, fill the pot with fresh water and cook for another 30 minutes over a low flame until soft. If the beans are a bit older, they may cook longer.
  2. Peel the onions, chop them finely and fry them in the pan with the oil until light brown, add the ground paprika.
  3. Wash, blanch and finely chop the nettles. Layer the beans, onions and nettles in a soaked clay pot, then season with salt, pepper and fill with water so that all the ingredients are under the water.
  4. Put the clay pot in the oven and when the temperature is at 200 degrees top and bottom heat, simmer for about 30 minutes until it has a nice, brownish skin.
  5. This is an old original recipe. You can of course also use clear broth, garlic and fresh herbs. Corn bread / proja or fresh white bread tastes good with it.
