Ingredients

  • 300 g shrimp
  • 1 onion (s), diced
  • 1 can mandarin (s), lightly or unsweetened
  • 1 glass asparagus
  • 1 squirt lemon juice
  • 250 g sour cream, (sour cream)
  • 2 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • salt and pepper
  • chili

Shrimp Cocktail with Mandarins and Asparagus

Instructions

  1. Wash and drain the shrimp. Cut the asparagus. Wash the mandarins briefly and let them drain.
  2. Mix all ingredients with the diced onion, drizzle with fresh lemon juice.
  3. Dressing:
  4. Mix the sour cream with mayonnaise, season with salt, pepper and chilli to taste.
  5. Mix the dressing with the ingredients and let it steep in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  6. Miscellaneous:
  7. In spring I prepare the shrimp cocktail with fresh, cooked, green asparagus.
  8. I use dried chilli (from the mill).
  9. Instead of the mandarins, I occasionally use canned pineapples. Then I season the dressing with curry and a squeeze of lemon.
  10. We eat the shrimp cocktail as a starter with toasted white bread.
