Shrimps with Green Peas with Spicy Sauce

Shrimp sauce with chili paste gives seafood and green peas a special, zesty taste.

Ingredients

  • Olive oil – 1 tbsp
  • Onions (finely chopped) – 1 pc.
  • Chili paste – 2 tbsp
  • Canned tomatoes, without skin (diced) – 400 g
  • Chicken broth – 125 g (1/2 cup)
  • Lime juice – 1 tbsp
  • Peeled shrimps – 400 g
  • Green peas, pods, young – 100 g
  • Green peas, peeled, frozen – 100 g
  • Boiled rice for garnish (optional)

Directions

  1. Prepare the shrimp sauce. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Pour onions into a preheated pan and fry, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Add the chili paste to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 minute.
  2. Place the chopped tomatoes in the pan, add the chicken stock and lime juice, and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes. Then add the shrimp and cook the shrimp with the sauce for another 3 minutes.
  3.  Place the peas and peas in the pan and cook, stirring occasionally, for about 1 minute.

Serve the shrimp with boiled rice sauce (optional).
