Sorrel Sweets with Mint and Raisins

Homemade sorrel, walnuts, raisins, and mint sweets are a healthy and tasty treat that the whole family will enjoy. The combination of raisins and fresh herbs give sweets a pleasant sweet and sour taste, with refreshing mint notes in the aftertaste, and nuts – nutritiousness and satiety. Simple and delicious! Try it!

Ingredients

  • Fresh sorrel – 15 g (leaves only)
  • Fresh mint – 5 g (10-14 leaves)
  • Walnuts – 75 g
  • Raisins – 60 g

Directions

  1. Prepare food. Wash and dry the raisins, nuts, and herbs.
  2. Separate 25g walnuts, place in a blender bowl, and blend for about 1 minute until finely crumbled. Transfer the nut crumbs to a separate container.
  3. Separate the mint and sorrel leaves from the stems and place them in a blender bowl. I added 12 small mint leaves and use the remaining mint to decorate the dessert.
  4. Add remaining nuts and raisins.
  5. Whisk for 3-4 minutes until a smooth paste is obtained.
  6. Divide the mass into small portions and roll into balls. Dip the balls in the nuts. I got 9 candies, weighing about 15 g each.
  7. Place the resulting candies in the freezer for 15 minutes to cool slightly and harden, then serve.
  8. Sorrel sweets with mint and raisins are ready. Garnish with mint leaves if desired and serve. Bon Appetit!
