Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion (s)
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 300 g tomato (s)
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 300 g potato (s)
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 bay leaf
  • broth
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • thyme
  • 300 g fish fillet (s) (e.. polar cod), fresh or frozen
  • 50 ml cream

Instructions

  1. Finely chop the onion and sweat in oil until golden. Wash the tomatoes, remove the stalk and cut into small cubes. Add to the onion together with the tomato paste and roast briefly.
  2. Wash and peel the potatoes and also cut them into cubes. Add to the tomatoes. Now add the sugar, garlic and bay leaf and pour in the broth. Scatter the spices over the top, stir and cook with the lid closed until the potatoes are almost soft.
  3. Wash the fish fillets, cut into cubes and add. Let it cook over a low heat. Be careful not to disintegrate the fish (stir gently). Finally refine with cream, season to taste again and serve with fresh baguette or white bread.
