- 2 slices toast
- 2 slices processed cheese (Chester)
- Chili Sauce (Sriracha-)
- Chilli Sauce (Sweet for Chicken)
- Garlic, granules or fresh
- Spice mixture (China 5 spice powder), if not available, gingerbread spice is also possible

- Spread the sweet chili sauce on the lower toast slice and sprinkle lightly with 5-spice powder. A slice of cheese on top, depending on your taste (and courage) Sriracha chili sauce on top and a little garlic. Then add a slice of cheese. If you like it a little sweeter, you can put some sweet chilli sauce and china powder on top of the cheese; otherwise just put a second slice of toast on top and put it in the oven!
- Tips:
- - I always make the sandwiches in the mini oven so they don`t get so dry.
- - The order of the ingredients is important for the following reasons:
- 1 .: The taste experience is a bit more intense when you first let go of different tastes in the mouth.
- 2 .: The 5-spice powder goes better with the sweet chili sauce, while the hot Sriracha goes well with a little extra garlic.
- 3rd: The sweet chili sauce is a little thinner than the Sriracha sauce and would ensure that the cheese slices slide apart, while some liquid can be removed from the toast between the cheese and toast. Ergo: more stable sandwich!
- - Processed cheese and chilli sauces have a damn long shelf life - so you can hoard everything in the fridge. For example, if I don`t feel like cooking or don`t have time to cook (or all cutlery and dishes are dirty), I can always make myself a damn delicious sandwich without much effort. I have made this and various variations of it my standard emergency recipe for spontaneous hunger.
