Sweet Tortilla Chips

Pieces of the thin tortillas are fried in oil and then tossed with cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. The result is aromatic, sweet crisp crisps.
Ingredients
- Tortilla flatbread, 20 cm in diameter – 10 pcs.
- Sugar – 1 glass
- Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
- Ground nutmeg – 0.25 teaspoon
- Odorless vegetable oil
Directions
- In a large zippered bag, combine sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set the package aside.
- Cut the tortilla cakes into rectangular pieces about 5×7 cm in size.
- Pour oil into the pan so that its level reaches 2.5 cm of the pan’s height, heat the oil to about 180 degrees.
- Place 4-5 rectangles of tortilla in the butter, fry for about 30 seconds on each side. Transfer to a paper towel to drain off excess fat. Fry all the sliced pieces of the flat cake in this way.
- Transfer the still warm fried tortilla chips to the spice bag, close the bag tightly and shake well.
- You can serve sweet tortilla chips just like that, or you can serve with sweet sauces, such as condensed milk, chocolate mousse, and others.
