Tartlets with Red Fish, Cheese, Eggs and Caviar

by Editorial Staff

My favorite recipe for an appetizer that guests always like and leaves the table in the first place is tartlets with boiled eggs, hard cheese, red fish and caviar. The combination of all the ingredients is simply amazing. It turns out tender, appetizing, beautiful and very, very tasty. This is ideal for a festive table. And if the tartlets are supplemented with slices of fresh cucumber and stars from boiled carrots, then such an appetizer will become a symbolic decoration of the New Year’s table.

Cook: 30 mins

Servings: 3

Ingredients

  • Sand tartlets (large) – 1 pack (6 pcs.)
  • Hard cheese – 100 g
  • Salted red fish – 80 g
  • Red caviar – 25 g
  • Eggs – 2 pcs.
  • Mayonnaise – 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • For decoration:
  • Medium carrots – 1 pc.
  • Cucumber – 1 pc.

Directions

  1. Transfer the eggs and carrots to a saucepan, add water, and over medium heat. Boil the eggs hard-boiled (about 8-10 minutes after boiling). Cook the carrots for 25 minutes. After a while, cool the eggs in cold water. Remove the carrots from the broth and let them cool.
  2. Peel the eggs and grate on a fine grater. Transfer the grated eggs to a bowl.
  3. Grate hard cheese on a fine grater. Add cheese to eggs.
  4. Cut the redfish into small pieces, add to the cheese and eggs.
  5. Add mayonnaise, salt, and pepper.
  6. Mix all ingredients well. Take a sample and adjust the taste, adding more salt or black pepper if desired.
  7. Peel the boiled carrots and cut them into slices. Use a sharp knife to cut stars out of carrot circles.
  8. You will need 6 carrot stars.
  9. Wash the cucumber, dry, and cut into thin slices using a vegetable peeler.
  10. Take toothpicks, string cucumber slices on them, folding them several times. On one end of a toothpick, prick a carrot star.
  11. Fill the sand tartlets with the prepared filling.
  12. Place the red caviar on top.
  13. Decorate the appetizer with toothpicks with cucumber and carrots.
  14. Serve ready-made tartlets with redfish, cheese, eggs, and caviar. Bon Appetit!
