Tatar Azu (Beef with Pickles)

The weather is cold in autumn, and the country fire beckons and pulls like a magnet. To combine business with pleasure, I once again took out a cauldron and put it on the fire. This time we will try the Tatar Azu – beef with pickles.

Ingredients

  • Beef (pulp) – 1.5 kg
  • Bulb onions – 3-4 pcs.
  • Carrots – 3-4 pcs.
  • Tomato paste – 1 small jar
  • Pickled cucumbers – 4-5 pcs.
  • Dried dill – 1 tbsp
  • Pepper mix to taste
  • Vegetable oil

Directions

  1. You will need a minimum of ingredients for a Tatar-style azu: tender meat, juicy and sweet onions, carrots for good vision, a tiny jar of tomato paste, pickles, spices, and vegetable oil.
  2. We put cast iron on a strong fire and pour oil. We heat it up so that smoke appears over the liquid. This means it’s time to load the carrots. With an incredible hiss, bring the orange slices to readiness and replace the carrots with onions.
  3. The rings turn golden in a matter of seconds. We take out the vegetable … And we lay the meat.
  4. When the meat is ready, add spices, dill, add tomato paste, load the previously prepared onions and carrots, pre-cut pickles on top.
