Ingredients
- 1 can beans, the big ones
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can lentils
- 100 g bacon, fat, smoked, finely diced
- 1 small onion (s), finely chopped
- 5 tablespoon flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 300 ml meat broth or bone broth
- 2 tablespoon vinegar, (red wine vinegar)
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 pinch thyme, amount to taste
- 1 pinch marjoram, fresh or dried

- Leave the bacon in a suitable saucepan, fry the onions in it, add the flour and sugar and roast it so that it burns darkly.
- Bring the broth to the boil, add the spices and vinegar and simmer for a few minutes,
- Pour the contents of the cans into the sauce without liquid, season with salt and bring to the boil again briefly.
- Bread dumplings or spaetzle go well with it.
