Turkey Roll with Spinach and Cheese (in Bacon)

Meatloaf stuffed with spinach and cheese is a bright, appetizing and very tasty dish that will take its rightful place on your festive table. Spinach and cheese will add tenderness to baked turkey meat, and ruddy slices of smoked bacon will make a festive turkey roll special and unforgettable!

Ingredients

  • Turkey fillet – 1 kg
  • Bacon – 200 g
  • Spinach – 125 g
  • Hard cheese – 30 g
  • Onions – 100 g
  • Garlic – 1 clove
  • Fresh parsley – 30 g
  • Lemon – 1 pc.
  • Sage – 6 leaves
  • Dry white wine – 250 ml
  • Sunflower oil – 2 tbsp
  • Olive oil – 2 tbsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat a frying pan with sunflower oil. Add chopped onion, garlic squeezed through a press, 0.5 teaspoon of ground black pepper and the same amount of salt. Fry the onion and garlic over medium heat for 2 minutes, until transparent.
  2. Add spinach and lemon juice. Fry the spinach over medium heat for about 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Leave the spinach to cool.
  3. Add cheese grated on a fine grater to the cooled spinach.
  4. Cut the thickened part of the turkey fillet longitudinally, slightly pressing it with the palm of your hand. At the same time, we hold the knife parallel to the table, cut the fillet not completely, leave about 0.5 cm.Then open the fillet like a book.
  5. We beat the turkey fillet well with a wooden mallet on both sides.
  6. Salt and pepper the beaten meat to taste. Place the spinach and cheese in the center and roll the turkey fillet into a roll.
  7. Wrap the turkey roll in strips of bacon.
  8. Put parsley stalks and lemon slices on the bottom of the baking dish.
  9. Put a roll in bacon on top, spread sage leaves next to it. Pour the roll with olive oil.
  10. Add dry white wine to the mold.
  11. We close the form with the stuffed roll with foil.
  12. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. We bake the meatloaf for 30 minutes.
  13. Remove the foil from the mold, pour the juice over the roll and bake for another 30 minutes.
  14. Turkey roll with spinach and cheese is ready.
