Unsweetened Oatmeal in a Jar with Cottage Cheese and Tomatoes

Puffed oatmeal with cottage cheese and tomatoes, the recipe for which I want to show you today, is not only a quick, hearty and healthy breakfast! Such oatmeal is prepared in the evening right in the bank, you can take it with you for a snack to work or, say, on a trip, which is very practical and convenient. The porridge is balanced, very aromatic, and tasty.

Cook: 8 hours 15 mins

Serving: 1

Ingredients

  • Tomatoes – 2 pcs. (200 g)
  • Cottage cheese – 80 g
  • Oatmeal flakes – 60 g
  • Fresh parsley – 2-3 sprigs
  • Vegetable oil – 1/2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste

Directions

  1. Pour the oatmeal into a bowl.
  2. In a saucepan or kettle, bring about 200 ml of water to a boil. Pour boiling water over the oatmeal, cover the bowl with a plate, and let the oatmeal simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. During this time, wash the tomatoes, remove the stalks. Cut the tomatoes into cubes.
  4. Rinse parsley or any other herbs and chop coarsely.
  5. Transfer the tomatoes and parsley to a blender bowl, add oil, add salt and black pepper.
  6. Grind everything until puree.
  7. By this time, the oatmeal was also steamed.
  8. “We collect” porridge. Place half of the oatmeal at the bottom of the jar.
  9. Place half the tomato puree on the oatmeal layer.
  10. On top of the puree – half the cottage cheese.
  11. Repeat the layers: oatmeal, tomato puree, cottage cheese.
  12. Close the jar with a lid and put the porridge in the refrigerator overnight (or at least 6 hours).
  13. In the morning, remove the porridge in the jar from the refrigerator – it is ready to eat.
  14. Unsweetened oatmeal in a jar with cottage cheese and tomatoes is very tasty, healthy, and original.
