Ingredients

  • 120 g butter or mararine
  • 200 g powdered suar
  • 2 pts vanilla sugar, (bourbon)
  • 4 drops bitter almond flavor
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 2 egg (s)
  • 220 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder, heaped
  • 60 ml milk
  • 60 ml heavy cream

For the filling:

  • 120 g almond (s), finely rated
  • 20 g chocolate flakes, white
  • 20 g chocolate flakes, dark
  • 40 g powdered suar
  • some cream

Instructions

  1. The amount is enough for a loaf pan approx. 30 cm long.
  2. Mix all ingredients for the nut filling, a roll should be malleable, set aside.
  3. Warm the milk and cream together (lukewarm), also set aside.
  4. Stir the butter / margarine with the powdered sugar, vanilla sugar, almond oil and salt until a creamy mixture is formed.
  5. Add the eggs, stir again for about 3 minutes. Sift in the flour and baking powder, pour in the warmed milk / cream mixture and stir again for a good 3 minutes.
  6. Pour a little more than half of the dough into the mold, shape the filling into a roll. Place these in the center lengthways on the dough. Cover with the rest of the batter.
  7. Bake at 160 ° convection for about 50 to 55 minutes. (Chopstick sample)
  8. Serve sprinkled with powdered sugar.
  9. It tastes even better when prepared a day in advance.
