Vegan Churro Recipe (with Cinnamon)

Would you like to eat some delicious Spanish desserts? Try these vegan churros with berry sauce! They’re incredibly delicious and easy to cook! Spanish churros are a classic version of a simple, filling, and delicious dish. This dessert on choux pastry is a very easy way to surprise your friends and family! It is a tradition to cook churros for breakfast in Spain. However, you can also have this dessert at lunchtime.

Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • Wheat flour – 1 cup
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Sugar – ½ cups
  • Vegetable oil – 3 tablespoon.
  • Vanilla – 1 tablespoon.
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon.
  • Sugar – ½ cups

Directions

  1. Mix the water, half a cup of sugar, salt, vanilla, and two tablespoons of vegetable oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring it to a boil and remove it from the heat.
  2. Knead the dough. Add the flour to the heated water stirring it with a spoon until it becomes a sticky mass.
  3. Leave the dough to cool down for 15 minutes.
  4. Put the dough into a piping bag.
  5. Cut off the tip of the bag and squeeze out the churros as long as you like.
  6. Preheat the oven up to 180 degrees. Bake the churros for 20-30 minutes not forgetting to flip them over. Then let them cool down a bit.
  7. Grease the churros with vegetable oil and coat them evenly in the mixed cinnamon and sugar.

Serve the churros with berry or chocolate sauce.
