Ingredients

  • 1 package filo pastry, 30 cm x 3 cm, vegan
  • 50 g almonds, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon raw cane sugar
  • 2 tablespoon margarine, vegan 80;butter81;
  • 2 tablespoon raisins
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 4 apples
  • some vegetable oil
  • possibly powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel and core the apples and cut into small cubes. Melt the vegan butter in a pan. Add apples, cinnamon and sugar and sauté for 10 minutes until the liquid has evaporated. Remove the pan from the heat and then stir in the almonds and raisins.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C. Place a sheet of filo pastry on a clean kitchen towel and place 2 tablespoons of filling on the bottom edge. Fold in the margins and carefully roll up the sheet, starting with the filling. Place the seams down on a baking sheet and brush with oil. Do the same with the other leaves until the filling is used up. Put the strudel in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the outside is brown. Then cut in the middle and arrange on a plate. If you want, you can sprinkle the strudel with powdered sugar.
  3. If you want to make smaller rolls, simply halve the sheet of dough before topping it and then put 1 tablespoon of filling on each roll.
