  • 4 pieces buns
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 g milk
  • 2-3 tablespoons sugar
  • vanilla
  • lemon or orange peel
  • 20 g cognac (ideally rum)
  • butter for frying

  • Any loaf can be used. It can be some kind of braid, you can even use Easter cake. In principle, even a baguette will do.
  • Mix eggs with sugar and milk. Add cognac, vanillin or vanilla essence, or vanilla itself (pulp) and zest.
  • And now you look at this muck and it is so sad, despite the fact that inside, in the composition, there is cognac ... just roar with burning tears.
  • So let's dilute the atmosphere and put the pan on to warm up.
  • We prepare our rolls and send them to an egg and milk bath. Butter for frying, put in a frying pan and send our toast to fry on it. Fry on both sides.
  • In the original, ready-to-eat toast is served with honey and berries. But this picture is painfully chilly and nondescript. So I served it with a scoop of ice cream and berries!
  • That's all my friend! Now you know one more recipe. You now have a fancy French toast in stock! Good luck!
