Yorkshire Puddings, or American Popovers

In America, Yorkshire puddings are called popovers. Making pancake dough popovers is easy, and watching the baking process is very interesting and exciting. In the oven, popovers take on very bizarre shapes. In general, these are real “jumping” buns.
Ingredients
- Milk – 100 ml
- Egg – 1 pc.
- Flour – 75 g (3 tablespoon. L.)
- Sugar – 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
- Salt – 1/4 teaspoon.
- Butter – 30 g
Directions
- Prepare food for popovers.
- Knead a thin homogeneous dough from flour, milk, eggs, salt, sugar. Refrigerate the dough for half an hour or more.
- Divide the butter into 6 molds and place them in an oven heated to 220 ° C until the butter starts to “crunch”.
- Pour the dough into molds quickly.
- Return the molds to the oven. Reduce the temperature to 200 ° C. After 15 minutes, reduce the temperature to 180 ° C. Turn off after 10 minutes.
- These airy buns are a worthy replacement for custard semi-finished products. Popovers can be filled with any kind of filling.
