Simmer a syrup from the sugar and the water. Let cool and fill into a mason jar (here 1.5 L). Let cool down!
Break apart the chocolate and mint tablets, place in the mason jar and fill up with the vodka or grain. Swivel so that everything mixes well. Let stand for at least 6 weeks and swirl every few days.
After 6 weeks, let it run through a colander, then filter with a coffee filter. Fill into bottles.
Makes a great gift. I made my liqueur just before Lent, then it will be ready by Easter.
