Cut off the bitter ends of the limes and then cut into eighths.
Pound together with the cane sugar in the glass. Fill the glass with crushed ice to approx. 1-2 cm below the rim. Let woodruff syrup run over the ice. Top up with ginger ale. Now remove the whole thing from the bottom with a long spoon and stir.
