Instructions

  1. Boil the potatoes and then crumble them by hand, but they should contain smaller pieces, so not as fine as you would make them for mashed potatoes.
  2. Then add the salt, cayenne pepper, green chillies, coriander and garam masala to the potatoes and mix well.
  3. Mix the chickpea flour with salt, cayenne pepper and turmeric and add enough water to make a thick, viscous dough.
  4. Shape the potato mixture into small balls and then dip them in the batter and deep-fry them in hot oil until they are golden in color.
  5. Serve hot with chutneys.
