Heat the fat in a coated pan and fry the gnocchi until golden brown. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg and spread in a flat baking dish. Coarsely grate the cheese and sprinkle over it.
Baked briefly in the oven until the cheese has melted. Place the bacon slices on top and briefly put them in the oven again.
Cut the chives into rolls and sprinkle over the finished gnocchi.
