Instructions

  1. Beat egg whites into snow. Mix together powdered sugar and butter, add 6 egg yolks. Now add the poppy seeds, hazelnuts, cinnamon and salt. Add the egg whites and the sugar. At the end, add the rum and mix everything carefully without destroying the egg whites. Pour the batter into a prepared cake pan.
  2. Bake in a preheated oven at 170 ° C for approx. 20 minutes (make a stick test).
  3. In the meantime, use the hand mixer to prepare a glaze of powdered sugar and lemon juice - add as much lemon juice and powdered sugar as required until a creamy white mixture is obtained.
  4. Take the cake out of the oven, spread the glaze on it and let it cool down.
