Clean the white cabbage. Peel the carrot. Grate the cabbage and carrot into pieces the size of rice grains with a vegetable grater. Peel the onion, cut finely but do not grate.
Put the cabbage, carrots and all other ingredients in a large bowl and mix well. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least 3 - 4 hours and before serving, season to taste with sugar, salt, pepper, vinegar and cream and mix.
The salad can also be prepared a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator. It lasts for 2 - 3 days and tastes very good with grilled food.
