Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 170 degrees circulating air.
  2. Put the butter in the microwave briefly, about 30 seconds, so that it is very soft but not hot.
  3. Mix the butter and sugar with the hand mixer until creamy. Add the vanilla extract and eggs and fold in briefly with the mixer at low speed. Be careful not to take too long, otherwise the cookies will become too hard. Mix the flour, baking powder and salt.
  4. Knead all ingredients by hand and shape into a ball of dough that should still be slightly sticky. Add the chopped children`s chocolate and knead into the dough.
  5. Shape the dough into 9 large balls or 12 smaller ones and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, leaving enough space between the biscuits.
  6. Bake the biscuits for about 9 minutes. You have to take the cookies out if they don`t look ready, otherwise they`ll get too hard afterwards. The outer edge should just start to turn light brown.
  7. Let cool for 30 minutes after baking.
  8. When packaged airtight, the cookies will stay so soft for several days.
