Instructions

  1. First prepare the McRib BBQ sauce. The ingredients make 370 ml of sauce.
  2. Then mix the minced pork with sugar and salt, add the water if necessary.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the mince into 4 equal portions and place on the baking sheet. Shape each portion into a flat rectangle, approx. 15 x 7.5 cm.
  4. With the handle of a knife or a wooden spoon handle, press a pattern into each patty so that they look like ribs.
  5. Place the baking sheet in the freezer and freeze the patties for 2 to 3 hours, they should be fully frozen. Then take the baking sheet out of the frozen food.
  6. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C, top / bottom heat.
  7. Cut the pickled cucumbers lengthways and cut the onions into thin slices.
  8. Heat a pan on the stove over medium heat, place 2 patties in each pan, the ribs side down, fry lightly brown in 4 minutes, then turn over and fry for another 3 minutes until the underside is also lightly browned.
  9. Place the browned patties back on the baking sheet and cover the top and bottom of the patties with the BBQ sauce. Put the tray in the oven and bake the patties for 6 minutes, the sauce should be bubbling and slightly thickened.
  10. While the patties are in the oven, toast the insides of the sandwiches over low heat on the stove in the pan that the patties were fried in.
  11. Take the patties out of the oven, put one each in the sandwich roll, place the cucumber slices and onion slices on the patties, place the top of the roll on the patties and enjoy.
  12. French fries go well with it - of course.
