Cook the prepared potato pieces with the carrot slices in the broth until soft (approx. 20 min.). While the vegetables are cooking, cut the bacon into small strips and sauté with the diced ham and onion. If it is very greasy, dab the grease off with a kitchen towel.
When the potatoes are soft, add the bacon, diced ham and onion to the soup. Slowly stir in the beaker of sour cream. Add the spices and bring to the boil once. Serve with chopped parsley.
I got the recipe from a friend in America. I modified it a little, e.g., It doesn`t seem necessary to add two tablespoons of butter to the soup. Otherwise it is super delicious and can of course be refined or changed as you wish and your own taste.
