Peel the carrots and cut into slices. Sear it in the butter, then sprinkle the sugar over it and let it caramelize. If something smells burnt, it`s perfect!
Now add the broth and simmer gently for about 15-20 minutes until the liquid has almost evaporated. Then refine with parsley, salt and pepper. And add a lot of seasoning!
I have already drained the carrots because there was too much brew (liquid) in the pot. Then I continued to season with seasoning. A nice accompaniment to mashed potatoes and bratwurst.
