Instructions

  1. Preheat the gas grill (or oven top / bottom heat) to 200 degrees.
  2. Break off the lower ends of the asparagus, then wrap each stick diagonally from bottom to top with a slice of bacon.
  3. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper (I use a perforated pizza tray). Place the wrapped asparagus stalks next to each other on the tray with a small gap and place them in the grill / oven for about 10 minutes. When the bacon starts to get crispy, pour the coarsely grated Parmesan cheese over it and bake briefly.
  4. Arrange in portions on plates, pepper (I use Melange Noir from Altes Gewürzamt) and a few sprinkles of crema di balsamico over it.
  5. In addition, the toasted black bread with butter and sea salt flakes and a glass of wine.
