Instructions

  1. Briefly stir together the flour, baking powder, eggs and olive oil. Then salt and pepper, add the herbs. Now add the milk and the grated cheese to the mixture. The whole thing is pretty fluid. After everything has been mixed up, personal taste comes into play. Mix in olives, chopped tomatoes, possibly mozzarella, corn, bacon, chopped peppers or other vegetables. The amount of ingredients is just as variable as the choice of additions. The less is added, the drier the cake will be. When adding bacon, please be careful with the salt!
  2. The dough is filled into a loaf pan and baked at 160 degrees (important!) For at least an hour. Then let it cool down and cut into pieces. In France the cake is served with an aperitif (with sparkling wine or martini).
