Grate the apples, add honey, sugar, vanilla sugar, rum, cinnamon and chopped dried fruit and let stand for a few hours (preferably overnight). Then mix baking powder with flour and grated nuts and stir in well until no more bits of flour can be seen. Fill this mixture into 2 loaf tins and bake at 180 degrees for about 1 hour.
The apple bread has a good shelf life, you can also freeze it.
