Instructions

  1. Before preparing the dough, peel the apples and cut them into slices. Then chop the walnuts into small pieces.
  2. For the dough, first separate the 5 eggs. The egg whites are beaten with the salt until stiff. Beat the egg yolks in another bowl and add the margarine. Then add sugar and vanilla sugar and stir well. Add flour, baking powder and cocoa mixture alternately with the milk. Then fold in the egg whites and finally the walnuts. Half of the dough is placed on a baking sheet. The apples are then spread out and covered with the rest of the batter. Now the cake is baked at 180 degrees top / bottom heat for about 40 minutes.
  3. After baking, the cake can be covered with a glaze. To do this, melt the chocolate, nut nougat cream and oil over a water bath and stir briefly. Spread the icing on the cake and let stand overnight (24 hours would be better, so that the cake can really flow through, then it tastes best!).
