For the dough, sieve the flour into a bowl and mix with the sugar. Add the egg and whip everything into a thick pulp with a little milk. No lumps should form in the process.
Now gradually stir in the rest of the milk and whiskey, stirring constantly. Let the dough soak in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Peel the apples, cut out the core and cut into approx. 4 mm thick slices. Place on a flat plate, sprinkle with sugar and drizzle with lemon juice. Cover and let steep for at least 20 minutes.
Heat some oil in a pan. Briefly stir the dough again, turn the apples in it and fry them in the hot fat until golden brown on both sides. Arrange the finished Apple Fritters on a plate with a scoop of walnut ice cream each.
Sprinkle each plate with 1 tablespoon maple syrup and serve immediately.
