- Core, peel and slice the apples and slice the onions into rings.
- Steam the apples in about 3 tablespoons of water. Roast the onions in hot oil until golden brown.
- Pour in the stock and red wine and let it boil down a little. Thicken with a sauce thickener if desired.
- Then heat the apple wedges in the sauce and serve.
