Prepare a dough dough. Pour warm milk into a bowl. Add yeast, 2 tablespoons flour and a tablespoon of sugar.
Mix well with a whisk.
Place the dough in a warm place. After 20 minutes, the dough will do.
Add the egg and melted butter to the dough. As well as salt, vanilla sugar and leftover granulated sugar. Stir all ingredients.
Add the sifted flour gradually.
Knead the dough. Cover with cling film and place in a warm place.
After an hour, the dough will expand and be ready to go.
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Wash, peel, core and chop the apples, but not coarsely. Put in a skillet and simmer until the juice evaporates completely. Refrigerate.
Divide the dough into three equal parts. Roll each part into a rectangle. Place a strip of apples in the middle. Make cuts on both sides.
Weave a braid.
Place the apple braids in a baking dish. Brush with beaten egg. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Bake the pies in the oven, which must be preheated to 175-180 degrees. It takes 35-40 minutes to bake.
The apple braids are ready. From the specified amount of ingredients, three pigtails are obtained.
