Instructions

  1. Halve the apple, do not peel, and remove the core. Then cut the apple into wafer-thin slices. In a bowl with water, add the juice of half a lemon and the apple slices. Place the bowl in the microwave for 3 - 5 minutes. The apple slices have to be a little soft so that they can be rolled easily.
  2. Now roll out the puff pastry and cut approx. 5 cm wide strips over the short side.
  3. Brush the strips with a little crème fraîche and, if you want, sprinkle some sugar and cinnamon over them. Then place the apple slices with the round side up and overlap on the strip. Fold up the lower half of the strip and then carefully roll it into the rose.
  4. Put all the roses in a muffin tin and then bake in the oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
