Instructions

  1. Mix the softened butter with the sugar until frothy until you can no longer feel the sugar. Gradually add the eggs and also the bitter almond oil. Mix the flour with the baking powder and gradually add to the mixture through a sieve and mix everything into a smooth dough.
  2. Line the square shape with baking paper and distribute the dough evenly there. Distribute the peeled and sliced apples on the mass, densely and fan-shaped.
  3. Place the pan in the cold oven and set the oven to approx. 125 ° C (hot air). Bake for about 60 - 70 minutes until golden brown. Switch off and open the oven, let the cake rest briefly and then lift it out of the tin with the paper onto a square cooling rack.
  4. After about 5 minutes, tear the baking paper on one side and slowly pull it under the cake, then do the same on the other side (pull the paper forward), so you can remove the baking paper without damaging the cake.
