Mix together all the ingredients for the dough. Put the dough in the springform pan and form an edge of approx. 2 - 3 cm. I always do this with my hands, without rolling it out, so it won`t be exactly the same height everywhere, but I can cope better with it than with rolling it out.
Put the applesauce in a small saucepan and bring to a simmer, I`ve always added a little cinnamon. Meanwhile, peel, quarter and cut the apples into small slices.
Put half of the sliced apples on the bottom, keep the other half for later. Mix the pudding powder with a little milk or apple juice. When the applesauce bubbles slightly, add the mixed vanilla pudding powder. Stir vigorously at the same time and remove the pot from the plate as you would when boiling pudding.
Then put the mass on the floor. It doesn`t matter whether you let the mass cool down a little or not, I didn`t notice any particular difference, if the mass is warmer - I think - it can be distributed better.
Then add the rest of the sliced apples to the mass. Now knead the ingredients for the crumble (and don`t skimp on the cinnamon) and distribute on top. Then place the cake in the oven at approx. 160 ° C for 45 - 50 minutes.
