Instructions

  1. Cut the green beans into pieces approx. 2 - 3 cm in size. With frozen beans, this can be done quickly by hand when frozen.
  2. Peel and dice the onion. In a large saucepan, fry the onion cubes in olive oil and then add the cut green beans.
  3. Only let it warm up for a good 5 minutes at a high temperature, stirring constantly, then season with 2 - 3 teaspoons of salt and cook for about 3/4 hour at a low temperature. Stir every now and then so that nothing sticks to the bottom of the pot.
  4. When the beans are done, add the tomatoes, mix everything well and season to see if it can still handle a little salt. Simmer together for 5 - 10 minutes.
  5. Originally this dish is served with Arabic flat bread.
