Wash the aronia berries and place in a container. Add the orange peel, then fill up with Doppelkorn and Korn (a total of 1.5 liters of alcohol). Add the brown sugar (also possible as rock candy) and stir more often. Let it stand on the windowsill for at least 2 months, stirring occasionally once in a while. At some point the sugar is dissolved.
Before transferring to the bottles, add the cherry syrup and stir well. Strain the liqueur, fill it into bottles and cork it. It can still ripen in it, but it tastes delicious.
The aronia berry (chokeberry, black mountain ash) contains anthocyanins, flavonoids and other antioxidants, which particularly protect the coronary arteries. It has a gentle taste, similar to the blackberry, I think
