Instructions

  1. Peel the ginger and garlic and cut into small pieces. Catch the juice from the pineapple jar and mix with the ingredients for the sauce.
  2. Cook the sauce in a small saucepan for about 15 minutes. The sauce must be dark brown at the end and have a consistency like honey.
  3. Sear the steaks in a pan on all sides. Place on a baking sheet and spread thickly with the sauce (use a maximum of 50% of the sauce). Let this rest for 10 minutes, then the flavors come into the meat well.
  4. Roast in the oven preheated to 140 ° C for approx. 15 minutes. It depends of course on the thickness of the steaks, I always use two fingers thick. For me, after this oven time, the inside is still a good pink.
  5. Wash, core and cut the peppers into small cubes. Mix with the rest of the sauce and place on the baking sheet with the meat. Spread the pineapple on the meat and fry everything for another 15 minutes at 180 ° C. My steaks are medium afterwards.
  6. You can also sprinkle with sesame seeds.
