For the meatballs, mix the onion, garlic, pepperoni, egg yolk and breadcrumbs well with the minced meat, season with salt and pepper and form walnut-sized balls out of the mixture.
For the sauce, peel the carrot and cut into fine sticks. Then fry them with the curry paste in hot oil on a medium fire until it smells good. Then add the coconut milk and fish sauce, stir well and simmer for a few minutes. Put the meatballs in the sauce, bring to the boil again and then cover and let simmer on a low flame for about 10 minutes.
This goes well with pasta that has been cooked in plenty of salted water with curry powder.
