Wash the asparagus, cut off the hard part, dry on a towel.
Cut bacon into thin, thin slices (if you bought pre-cut bacon in a package – even better and less hassle!). In a separate bowl, mix oil with minced garlic, salt, and black pepper.
Wrap each asparagus stalk with a strip of bacon, dipped in spiced oil, and place on a warm baking sheet.
Place the baking sheet with asparagus in the oven, preheated to 200C for 15 minutes. The bacon should be browned and the asparagus should remain soft inside. It is checked elementary – with a toothpick, fork, knife tip.
Asparagus should be served hot, with white sauce and fresh vegetables.
