Cut the potatoes into approx. 0.5 cm thick slices. Pour into boiling salted water and shortly afterwards add the asparagus. Let cook for approx. 10 minutes, drain and collect the cooking water. Put the vegetables in a baking dish.
Melt the butter in the saucepan and fry the chilli. Dust with flour and add the cooking liquid (approx. 200 ml). Make a roux. Finally stir in the cream cheese.
Place the diced ham on the vegetables and pour the sauce over them. Bake in the oven at 200 ° C for about 10 minutes. Then sprinkle the cheese on top and bake for another 10 minutes.
Also tastes as a side dish e.g., very tasty with chicken breast or schnitzel.
