Dissolve sugar in water in a pan and simmer gently over medium heat and let it froth; Deglaze with the orange juice and the orange peel and dissolve the caramel again.
Add the asparagus, season and simmer covered over medium heat for approx. 5 minutes, then finish cooking for another 10 minutes.
Mix the vinegar with the oil, salt and pepper, briefly mix in the rocket.
Arrange salad on plates; Pour cheese and pine nuts over it and serve the asparagus next to it

Tip:
Depending on your taste, use lamb`s lettuce instead of rocket and blue cheese instead of parmesan
