Clean the lettuce and cut / pluck it into bite-sized pieces. Peel the pears to taste (you can also use them with their skin on). Then remove the core and dice the pulp.
Also cut the cheese into cubes. Arrange both on the salad.
For the dressing, first stir the cream cheese with mustard and honey until smooth, then stir in the balsamic vinegar and oil. Finally season with thyme, salt and pepper.
Pour the dressing over the salad and mix everything well before serving.
Pears go well with many types of cheese, but spicy varieties are particularly good. Whether semi-hard or soft cheese doesn`t matter.
