Instructions

  1. Heat the milk in a saucepan. Add the vanilla. Grate the carrot and apple and add to the milk. Bring everything to the boil and simmer a little.
  2. For babies who can already cope with solid food, it is sufficient to cook the carrots and apples for about 5 minutes. Otherwise cook everything for approx. 10 minutes over low heat until soft.
  3. Add the nuts and semolina and mix everything well. Allow the porridge to swell for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly, then season to taste with grated orange peel.
  4. Cool the porridge on a plate or spread it on baking paper and let it cool down.
  5. The porridge is very thick even when it is warm. So the baby can eat it well with his hands and he also sticks well to the spoon if the baby wants to feed itself with it.
  6. Once cooled, the pulp is firm enough to cut into handy strips for e.g., to cut on the go.
  7. The amount is enough as breakfast for 2 adults and a baby.
