Mix the minced beef well with the soaked and squeezed bread, eggs, finely diced onions and spices and form dumplings with wet hands. Wrap each bacon with two slices of bacon or breakfast bacon and secure with toothpicks. Fry the finished dumplings in a pan, or they turn out particularly tasty on the campfire grill.
Taste warm and cold.
Diet version to save carbohydrates and cholesterol: instead of bread and eggs, low-fat quark (125 g per 500 g meat) can be used. Quark loosens and binds with its protein. However, you should then use more spice.
The addition of mustard makes the meat tender, tastier and more digestible.
