Instructions

  1. Cut off a lid from the apples and leave the stem on, if present. Using a ball cutter or a small, pointed kitchen knife, poke out the core casing generously so that there is enough space for the filling.
  2. Mix the lemon juice with the jelly and pour into the apple hollows. Mix the quark, egg yolks, almonds, vanilla sugar and sugar together. Spread the mixture over the apples. Put these in a buttered gratin dish and place the lids on top.
  3. Bake the apples in the oven preheated to 200 degrees on the 2nd lowest groove for 15-20 minutes, depending on the variety. Serve hot or lukewarm.
  4. Prepared in double portions, also as a small, sweet meal, with which a soup is served in advance!
